This course is designed to help you to communicate in English more effectively in the workplace. The course will guide you to write concise and effective letters, e-mail messages, memos, and other types of correspondence as well as simple reports. In this course you will not only learn basic business writing techniques, but you will also learn how to improve the way you use English words and sentences to become a more effective business writer. You will learn how to write letters and email messages like those of native speakers of English. Many examples of actual correspondences will be presented and discussed.
Teacher: Mr. James Parker
Born in England, Mr. Parker has lived in Japan for over fifteen years and has a Master’s degree in TESOL. He has taught business English at all levels in a number of well-known Japanese and foreign electronic or pharmaceutical corporations, specializing in writing and effective business communication. He currently teaches academic writing classes at LUJ as well as business writing at various companies.
