In this class, students will learn how to communicate in everyday Spanish. The focus of this class is to enable students to hold simple conversations using everyday Spanish. By the end of term, students should be able to introduce themselves, ask simple questions, talk about their personal interests, order food and go shopping in Spanish. This two-hour class will be very interactive and will allow students to develop their speaking ability through conversational role-plays and interactive activities. In addition to the Spanish language, students will be introduced to various Hispanic cultures.
Teacher: Ms. Jennifer Grubbs
Ms. Grubbs earned a Master of Arts degree in Spanish from California State University Sacramento through its Travel Study Abroad Program in Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. She also has a B.A. degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) through Cambridge University. Ms. Grubbs has also taught in Spain, Costa Rica, Chile, and Mexico.
