In this class, you will learn how to write professional-looking magazine articles from a professional writer. He will teach you how to find an editor willing to accept your articles, interviewing techniques, developing rapport with the editor, piecing the story together, editing the story, proofreading, following editors’ suggestions for changes and much more. You will also learn how to write nut graphs, introductions, conclusions and flowing prose. Advanced English skills are needed for this class.

Dr. Brender is a journalist who has written hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles and was the Japan correspondent for The Chronicle of Higher Education, an influential American weekly newspaper.
